About Heavy 1
Originating from the magnificent city of Tokyo, Heavy1 is quite simply one of Japan’s finest drum & bass exports. Heavy1 caught the infectious bug for drum & bass back when he was 18, and it was at this point in his life that he started to ponder upon and produce his own music. Japan had a very limited scene at the time and so Heavy1 started searching for inspiration from further afield. He began importing records from UK stores such as Chemical and Redeye Records, and as his collection grew, so did his enthusiasm for his own tracks.
