The roots-rock foursome the Haynes Boys formed in Franklin County, Ohio in the mid-'90s. Led by singer/songwriter Tim Easton and with a sound reminiscent of Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Long Ryders and the Pontiac Brothers, they issued their debut, Guardian Angel, in 1996. The band subsequently split, its members working in Gaunt and Thomas Jefferson Slave Apartments, and Easton embarking on a solo career. (from All Music Guide)
