Hard to Swallow began in Nottingham England at the end of 1994, forming out of the ashes and memberships of Iron Monkey, The Varukers, Bloody Lovely and Forcefed. They were inspired by Citizen's Arrest, Born Against, Rorschach and NWOBHM.
