About Hans Holewa
Hans Holewa, Austrian-born Swedish composer; b. Vienna, May 26, 1905; d. Bromma, April 24, 1991. He studied conducting at the New Cons, of Music in Vienna, and piano and theory with J. Heinz. In 1937 he settled in Stockholm as a pianist and pedagogue; there he introduced Schönberg’s 12-tone technique. From 1949 to 1970 he worked in the music library of the Swedish Broadcasting Corp.
