About Hallingdal Kraftlag
Hallingdal Kraftlag is a gammeldans (old-time dance) band from Hallingdal, Norway. The members of Hallingdal Kraftlag are Jostein Sørbøen (two-row diatonic accordion), Oddvar Fingersen (five-row chromatic button accordion), Arne Sigurd Haugen (guitar) and Martin Thue (bass). The tunes they record are the compositions of band member, Jostein Sørbøen. The group took their name from a local utility power company and the names of the tunes often use words that reflect terms used in that work - often playfully.
