About Guglielmo Miniscalchi
Guglielmo Miniscalchi (Venice?, 1590? - 1657?) was an Italian composer. An Augustinian monk, Miniscalchi was an esteemed composer, especially in the Venetian musical environment. In 1616 he published Coelum armonicum seu concentus for one, two and three voices (now lost). In 1622 he became choirmaster of the church of S. Stefano in Venice and published the psalm Miserere mei Deus concertato in three voices with symphony ... and finally doi motetti for two voices .
