Formed in 2005, Grün is a primarily instrumental, experimental rock band based in Sydney, Australia. The band is comprised of four members: founders Leon Kelly (guitar, keyboards) and Andre Matkovic (bass, programming), along with Ben Matson (drums) and Piers Twomey (guitar, keyboards). Grün's musical influences include Battles, Jesu, Philip Glass, Alcest, Mogwai, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth, Boards of Canada, Swans – and the like. A German word (English translation: green)
