Groundline is Latvian modern metal band, formed in Riga, Latvia in 2011. The band's music can be described as a fusion between metalcore, melodic death metal, nu metal and industrial metal, to form a style the band themselves have described as "Modern Fusion Metal" - a mix of various components and influences that incorporates melodies and low-tuned groove-based rhythms synthesised with electro-industrial elements, sampling and some complex time signatures & polyrhythmic composition.
