Grant Grieves was a rockabilly/country artist born May 20th 1938 in Kansas City and made his first record in 1959 for the local K.C.M. label operated by “Tennessee” Jim McDonald. The 45 rpm record co-recorded with buddy Russ Piburn was released under their moniker "The Strangers" and featured “The Guns” (an answer song to Johnny Cash's hit “Dont Take Your Guns To Town” ) and flipside track “Honky Tonk Women” (pre-dating The Rolling Stones title by a solid decade).
