1) Graham Simpson (13 October 1943 - 16th April 2012) was an art rock musician who served as a founding member of Roxy Music. His bass work on the groups eponymous first album, released in 1972, played a distinctive role in developing the group's sound. Graham was a personal friend of frontman Bryan Ferry and helped coalesce the group around its initial line-up, serving as a sort of emotional glue. Graham suffered from severe depression after his mother died of cancer in April 1972.
