Alabama-native Michael Turvin met fellow southerner Bonnie Crocker in New York City in 2005. They soon began performing as Glen Eden Quay (taken from the street on which Bonnie grew up in Virginia) and developing their own style of homegrown music, drawing on the influences of their Southern origins and a broad musical landscape, incorporating elements of classic country, delta blues, troubadour balladry, and the worldly textures of gypsy folk. Glen Eden Quay self-released their debut album, Outbound Again, in June of 2008.
