
Giulio Carmassi (born Giuliano Giulio Giacomo Carmassi February 21, 1981 Lucca, Italy) is an Italian composer, jazz musician, arranger, producer and pianist. He was raised in Pisa and Florence, training in classical and jazz piano and drums before moving to Los Angeles. He spent five years in and out of hospitals as a child while he suffered from the blood disorder thrombocytopenia. His first feature film score was for the film Let Them Chirp Awhile,[1] which the New York Times referred to as "whimsical jazz".[2]
