About Giovanni Stefano Fontana Morello
Giovanni Stefano Fontana Morello (Biella , 16th century - Vercelli ?, After 1634) was an Italian composer, organist and presbyter. Originally from Biella, in 1614 he was organist in the church of the Madonna di Robbio , which was then part of the diocese of Vercelli . In 1617 he was appointed canon of Santo Stefano in Biella, a place which he renounced on 29 December 1634 to accept the appointment as canon of Santa Maria Maggiore in Vercelli , where he is presumed to have died.
