
Giovanni Maroni (Ferrara, second half of the 16th century - Lodi, first half of the 17th century) was an Italian musician and composer, who lived in the late Renaissance and early Baroque. It is assumed that Giovanni Maroni was born in Ferrara in the second half of the 16th century. His name appears for the first time in the "salariati bulletin" of the Este court, from which it emerges that he was in the service of Alfonso II from 1592 to 1597. In the dedication of Fior Novello
