Giovanni Maria Pagliardi (Genoa , 1637 - Florence , December 4, 1702) was an Italian composer. Pagliardi began his career as a musician in Genoa, his hometown. Here, in 1660, his oratory The Triumphant Innocence was performed . At least from 1662 he was choirmaster of the church of the Gesù in Genoa. Between 1662 and 1667 several of his motets were published in Rome in the anthologies of motets edited by Florido de Silvestris and Giovan Battista Caifabri.
