Giovanni Guidiccioni (Lucca, 1500 - Macerata, 1541) was an Italian poet and Catholic Bishop. In 1527 his uncle, Bartholomew Guidiccioni, left to his benefit his own job in Parma at the court of Cardinal Alessandro Farnese. In 1530 he his in Bologna for the coronation of Charles V by Pope Clement VII. There he met Trissino, Francesco Maria Molza and Veronica Gambara. On October 12, 1534 Alexander Farnese became Pope as Paul III, Giovanni went appointed bishop of Fossombrone and, the following year, apostolic nuncio to the court of Charles V.
