Giovanni Francesco Capello (also spelled Capelli) was an Italian composer and musician active in the early Baroque era, primarily known for his contributions to the rapidly developing genres of sacred and secular vocal music around the turn of the 17th century. His known period of activity runs from approximately 1610 to 1619. Capello is often viewed by scholars as an "Avant-Gardist of the Early Seventeenth Century."
