About Geraldo Filme
Geraldo Filme (1928 — 1995) was a legendary singer and composer of samba from São Paulo, Brazil. He was one of the founders and key figures of the Carnaval in São Paulo, known as well for his extensive and well-researched knowledge of the city's history. Geraldo Filme wrote his first samba when he was 10 years old. He went on to compose several sambas for well-known and traditional samba schools in São Paulo, most notably the Vai-Vai. Filme's
