George Nicholson (b. 1949) is a British composer. As Reader in Composition Dr George Nicholson is Head of Composition and Director of the University of Sheffield New Music Ensemble. His catalogue of work encompasses a wide range of instrumental and vocal music which has been performed and broadcast in many countries. His work is published by the University of York Music Press, Warwick Music, Peacock Press and Gonzaga Music. He teaches undergraduates modules in composition
