About George Mukabi
George Mukabi was a Kenyan musician, born in the small village of Khisa. After hearing records of the "Nyasa" Malawian bands, he tried to imitate their fingerpicking style. Out of this, he developed his own style, and ended up recording around 30 songs between 1956 and his death in 1963.
