Georgiy Garanian (Георгий Гаранян) (15 August 1934 – 11 January 2010) was an ethnic Armenian Soviet/Russian jazz saxophone player, bandleader and composer. He was the People's Artist of Russia in 1993. While Garanian conducted his Melodiya ensemble (Мелодия) for 1974's Romance for Lovers (Романс О Влюбленных) soundtrack from which the track "Search" (Поиск) was taken, it's not clear who actually performed
