Georg Zarth (also known as Georg Czarth / Jiří Čart, 1708–c.1780) was a Bohemian violinist–flautist whose career threads through the big 18th-century court circuits of Central Europe. He first learned from the cantor Lukas Lorenz in Deutschbrod/Havlíčkův Brod, then continued via Prague to Vienna, where he is reported to have studied violin with imperial court musicians Franz Josef Timmer and Johann Otto Rosetter, and flute with Biarelli.
