About Genevieve Beaulieu
With Augury, her first album under her own name, Geneviève returns to her primary instrument, the nylon-string guitar she fell in love with when she was 13. She composed a bunch of songs in 2011-12 while still in Montreal amidst a whirlwind of musical activities with her other projects. After moving into the woods with her Menace Ruine partner S. in 2014, they took a distance from public musical life. The peace and quiet she found there rekindled her love for classical guitar and she recorded 13 songs from this repertoire in 2017‑18
