Gates to Lidice were a short-lived progressive metal band. Their name came from the massacre of Czech civilians by Nazi troops during World War Two. Gathering a local fanbase, the band then went on to enter a competition of Scuzz TVs to win a slot at the annual Bloodstock Metal Festival. Sadly, the band didn't get a place on the tour and, shortly afterwards, in mid-2008, the band broke up. Several of the members of Gates to Lidice then went on, after the split, to form the post-hardcore group Sienna.
