About Gates of Azharia
Gates of Azharia is the dark ambient/neofolk solo project of Hylgaryss, who resides in Lorraine, France. When not busy with this project, he finds time to play keyboards and sometimes guitar for Dark Sanctuary, Kristallnacht, Sacrificia Mortuorum, Chemin de Haine, and his other solo projects, Black Fortress, Caithness, and Winter Funeral. Thus, he's managed only one release so far: 2004's 'Les Voies du Destin', a split with Torech Ungol to which Hylgaryss contributed five tracks.
