About Gap 5
Formed in 2012, Gap5 took on the first season of The X Factor New Zealand with their mentor judge, Melanie Blatt from the former UK girl group “All Saints”, who coached the group towards a top 6 finish in the competition. They opened up the first ever X Factor NZ Live Show with an explosive rendition of Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” injecting intricate harmonies and urban choreography into the chart topping varsity-inspired anthem. The fierce five-some solidified their place in the competition
