About Gallows Cool
Gallows Cool were a Guildford based alternative rock band, active around the start of the 21st century. Starting out as a four-piece, they stripped down to a three-piece after the acrimonious departure of their first singer. The remaining members (Richard Benson, Guitar and Vocals; Matthew Perry, Bass; Pete Coles, Drums) practised weekly in Matt's mum's garage. The drummer from Rachel Stamp's cousin once turned up and knocked on the door of the garage.
