About Gaetano Chiabrano
Gaetano (Gaspare Giuseppe) Chiabrano (Turin, February 9, 1725 – Torino, c. 1802) is an Italian cellist and composer. Gaetano Chiabrano (sometimes Chabran, Ciabran, Ciabrano) came from a family of musicians, including his father, who was the violinist Giovanni Nicola (c. 1686–1776) and his brothers were the guitarist Giovanni Francesco Benedetto, author of a method, and the violinist Carlo Giuseppe Valentino, who played eleven times at the Concert Spirituel between April and June 1753.
