Established in 1977 by Philip Kroonenberg (vocals, guitar) and former Q65 bassist, Frank Nuyens, the Freelance Band was a 'super group' of sorts in the blues scene of The Netherlands. The line-up underwent many changes over the years: members and ex-members of Dutch powerhouses such as Livin' Blues, Cuby + Blizzards and Himalaya came and went. Guitar superhero, Eelco Gelling, briefly joined the band, too. The group disbanded in 1986, after two LPs: Rough 'n Tough (1980) and Midnight Power House (1985).
