Franz Vollrath Buttstett (2 April 1735, Erfurt - 7 May 1814, Rothenburg ob der Tauber) was a German organist and composer. After early musical education in Erfurt, he went to Leipzig to study under Johann Friedrich Doles. He was organist in Weikersheim in 1755, and in 1758 was appointed interim organist at Rothenburg, a position he held the rest of his life, although it looks almost 20 years to become permanent.
