About Francisco Zubieta

Francisco Zubieta (c. 1657 - Palencia, February 7, 1718) was a Spanish composer and conductor. Not to be confused with Francisco Zubieta, harpist in the Cathedral of Pamplona, composer of Breve dies. Zubieta trained musically in Madrid with the teacher Cristóbal Galán. After the death of Andrés Barea on September 20, 1680, the magisterium of the Cathedral of Palencia became vacant.3 In the oppositions held on November 15 in Palencia, in which he faced Juan Bonet de Paredes and Matías Juan de Veana
