About Fractured Waves
Fractured Waves formed in London in April 2006 from the ashes of a number of other bands. Initially called Archslider, they recall the forgotten early 90's post-rock of Disco Inferno, possessing in the process a zeal for live experimentation and a playful ad-hoc sensibility. At times pastoral and haunting, guitar drones and subtle use of xylophone arrangements soon fall away to expose synthetic jolts of digital noise. These expansive rhythmic elements structure the improvised instrumentation elsewhere.
