About Fort Wife
Fort Wife is a group of rotating musicians, led by guitarist/vocalist Elkie. Elkie released her first recordings in 2009, utilizing a built-in computer mic, GarageBand, an acoustic guitar, and a toy keyboard. Using cutesy pop melody and dark lyrics, Fort Wife experimented with guitar and vocal effects both live and on record. In 2011, they released the "Elkie EP", which features three home-recorded tracks and the bonus track, "Golden Girls", recorded by Dylan Wood (drummer) at Fat Black's Ghost City.
