About Formerly Known as Oedipusaurus Rex
Formerly Known As Oedipusaurus Rex was started in 1996 by college buddies Kenji Baugham and Padgett Arango. Soon, Kenji's life-long friend, Margaret Brunjes, joined the band as well. After recording a number of songs in a wide variety of genres, they decided they had best come up with a name. Fortunately, Kenji and Padgett were taking a creative writing course together and had discussed writing an epic postmodern fable in which a young man is sent out to destroy the three titans of modernity: Jesusaurus Rex
