About Five Day Hemingway
Five Day Hemingway were born on a wall in Edinburgh, near the nightclub. They are a four-piece band who made several important decisions near the start of their career: not to have a name beginning with 'The', not to try and imitate bands associated with a haircut or a particular cut of jeans, but to make tuneful, angular guitar-based pop. Like a lot of bands, Five Day Hemingway grew out of the open-mic scene in Edinburgh - the perfect venue to get drunk and pretend like you're not trying.
