About Filany
Daouda Filany (or Flani) Sangaré of Mali was the lead singer of the Super Djata Band de Bamako (Mali's capital) and one of the earliest players of kamelan n'goni music, later known as the Wassoulou sound, prominent in the south of Mali. He died in January, 2008.
