About FastMusic
fastmusic is the musical project of Bela Fast, an artist based in Leipzig, Germany. The project gained immediate acclaim with the release of its debut seven-inch single wow in March 2023. fastmusic's sound blends minimalist pop with global influences, particularly the shimmering guitar tones of Mali’s desert blues. Their songs feature stoic, vintage rhythm machines that create a hypnotic, repetitive groove. The result is a psychedelic, meditative atmosphere that draws comparisons to 1970s outsider artists like Shuggie Otis and Timmy Thomas.
