About Expert Frowner
After a decade of playing in various high school and college bands as a guitarist or bassist, Patrick Haynes decided to write his own songs. The first foray into fulfilling that goal is the No Smiles EP from Expert Frowner, due out October 7, 2022. Expert Frowner pulls influence from three primary sources: Britpop hooks of the 90s, specifically those of the Oasis variety; post-punk guitars and vocals akin to Joy Division and Interpol; and ripping guitar solos inspired by J Mascis and other punk-leaning alternative guitarists.
