ESPER was formed by Tobias Heide and Hanno Bennert in Düsseldorf, Germany. Incorporating influences ranging from Scott Walker to Pharcyde, from Vangelis to Godflesh, ESPER merges lo-fi sample manipulation, live instruments and meaty beats into moody, „noir“ and picturesque tracks.
