About Eryk Brikner
Eryk Brikner (1705 - 1760) organist and composer, was a member of the Jasna Góra Monastery in the 18th century. Born in 1705 in Drzymałowice, near Wrocław, Jerzy Brikner initially studied philosophy in Krumlov in Moravia, possibly also learning the basics of music. After graduating, he entered the Pauline Order, taking the name of Eryk, and from 1724 he stayed at Jasna Góra, where he had the opportunity to continue his musical education. He spent most of his life here
