About Erwin Bouterse
Erwin Bouterse (1947) is een Surinaams-Nederlands soul-, funk- en discozanger en arrangeur. In Suriname zong hij voor The Soul Kids en The Falling Stones. Begin jaren 1970 vertrok hij naar Nederland en zong hij onder meer met zijn formatie The Group Roetoe. Bouterse begon zijn muziekloopbaan als leadzanger van The Soul Kids, waarmee hij optrad in nachtclubs in Paramaribo.[1] Tot 1972 zong hij in The Falling Stones[2] en korte tijd daarna vertrok hij naar Nederland.[1]
