Eric Mayer, whose stage names include E-Rock, eRock, Acoustic Joseph Mayer, and Lord Cockstain of the Unyielding Lactations, is a singer/songwriter, guitarist, and otherwise sciolistic multiinstrumentalist. He is also the perennial frontman of early 2000s alt-rock band Shotgun. Mayer hails from Newark, Delaware, and has been writing and playing music since his high school days, with early projects and bands ranging from crude Beatles covers to techno-rock experiment Gilligan.
