A guitarist and songwriter at heart, Grashorn founded endless ice age in 2000 as a solo project, releasing "A simile for a metaphor" in 2004. Cooper joined in 2006 after he and Grashorn met in Minneapolis. Exchanging recorded tracks over the internet and communicating by telephone, email, and instant message, endless ice age represents a 21st century approach to musical exploration.
