Founded in 2015, Christensen began Emperor of Mind by drawing influences from across the entire length of the metallic spectrum. Gathering atmosphere similar to that of The Ocean and The Contortionist and blending it with segments of scathing aggression and intensity a la The Dillinger Escape Plan and topping it all off with catchiness that makes Periphery sound flat, Christensen quickly developed a sound that is uniquely her own.
