About Elitsa Todorova and Stoyan Yankoukov
Elitsa TODOROVA (Елица Тодорова) was born in 1977 in the town of Varna, Bulgaria. She graduated a musical school with percussion instruments and folklore singing, and got her university degree in percussion instruments. She has an unmistakable strong, full-toned and tough voice. Elitsa has developed her own style of playing the tarambuka combining fast rhythms with a simultaneous synchrony of playing and singing. Her duet with Stoyan Yankoulov turned her into a phenomenon in no time at all.
