About elbowsway
Formed in 2024 in Tashkent, elbowsway is the first band to bring authentic shoegaze to Uzbekistan’s music scene. Blending elements of post-shoegaze, hardcore, and emo, the group crafts a sound that feels both raw and cinematic — heavy guitars, emotional depth, and a sense of looming chaos that never quite resolves. The band’s name comes from a real story: founder Thomas dislocated his elbow at a concert — and the moment somehow stuck, becoming part of their identity.
