About El Matamugu
Born to a musical family in the parish of St. James, Jamaica, Livingston Hurlock started his career at an early age. A self taught musician, his first instruments were a crude home-made bamboo guitar, a banjo and an acoustic six string. Levi and his brothers were making their mark at an early age all across Jamaica and became the youngest sought after band in Montego Bay. During that time the band was filmed by a television crew promoting Jamaican culture for an American tv program.
