About Ed Kooyman
Please refer to Ed Kooyman & Herman Van Haeren. On advise of Wannes van de Velde, Ed Kooyman started to write Antwerp lyrics to the countrymusic that he and Herman Van Haeren had grown up with. This orginal combination not only appealed to an Antwerp public since Ed toured Flanders and part of Holland on his own, with his 5-string-banjo, concertina, autoharp and mondharmonika. In 1973 he asked Herman to cooperate on his first album. This cooperation became more and more intense, and since then they always perform together.
