About Echo Off
The idea of the Echo Off came in 1998, in Mosonmagyaróvár, HU (also known as the New Orleans of Hungary), then reformed in 2009 in a sublet in Budapest. The two founder where Tamás Szabó and János Zelenka. They songs are about a grotesque half-reality, which is based on the fröccs-culture of Deep-Moson and the experience of the student life of Budapest. In the lyrics are many cross-references. The best definition of the band’s genre is probably folkpunk-rock, or fake socialblues.
