Eaten by Monsters are an indie folk band with pretensions to being literate and intellectual. Steeped in the musical heritage of England, and yet at the same time spitting on much of what traditional folk music stands for, the "band" is actually the vanity project of one frustrated musician, Tom, with the help of drummer-extrodinare Andy. As a two-piece they eschew the use of any other instruments, particularly the dreaded bass. The end result is music that sits somewhere between that of acts like Bright Eyes
